SISHK Primary School in Hong Kong

The school seeks to provide a future-oriented holistic education to children. SISHK Primary strives to raise bilingual children and educate students from all nationalities. The school nurtures students to be independent life-long learners who possess moral values. Children grow up to be respectful and responsible individuals who are ready to face the challenges of life and adapt to the ever-changing world.

The Preparatory Years Programme focuses on the holistic development of each child as well as bilingualism. This is a two-year programme which looks after the physical, intellectual, moral, social and emotional development.

Children progress seamlessly from this programme to the primary programme and then on to the secondary programme. Even at the preschool level, the programme is quite rigorous which provides each child with a broad understanding of the process of learning.

The primary programme is broad-based and quite rigorous leading to the holistic development of students. Students learn both in and outside the classroom. The school puts a strong emphasis on character building. It follows the principle of CARE (Consistent Achievements for Rewarding Education) and engages each child in assembly talks, pastoral care programme, and the community involvement programme.

SISHK Primary also offers several immersion programmes such as the Singapore Holiday Immersion Programme (SHIP) which is held annually during the summer holidays and the Taiwan Immersion Programme for P6 students.

Apart from academics, students can practice various sports such as badminton, basketball, cross country, gymnastics, netball, soccer, swimming, table tennis, volleyball and wushu. The school also organises various camps and trips from time to time to engage students and give them a practical understanding of the real world.
