The school was founded in 1990 as Southville International School in a simple single-storey building (Elizalde Campus) which meets the basic requirements of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS).
Southville International School and Colleges is the only international school in the Philippines offering a complete array of educational programs officially recognized as an educational institution of international character based on the Republic Act (R.A.) No. 9493.

The school offers 3 different levels of education which are the Preschool division, Grade School and High School Divison & Senior High School division. The Senior High School curriculum model is anchored on the 5Cs (Competence, Character, Collaboration, Creativity, and Commitment to Achieve). The sources of standards are the National Curriculum of United Kingdom for Mathematics, Applied Science and Social Living, and Global Education and Common Core State Standards of United States for English.
