About Us

Mandalay International Kindergarten brings international standard kindergarten education to Myanmar. It caters to students between 3 to 6 years of age. The school looks after the social and emotional needs of children with a primary concentration to improve the fine motor skills of every student. The school actively involves parents to deliver a superior learning experience to students.

Learning Thru Play & Positive Reinforcement

Mandalay International Kindergarten believes in the learning through play methodology and hence involves children in play by using materials such as toys, sand, water, paint, blocks and playground equipment, children are able to take their first steps in learning effectively.

By implementing positive reinforcements and well-planned lessons, the school aims to bring about holistic growth in every child. The curriculum takes into account young learners’ needs, interests, abilities and development needs. Each child is provided special attention and care for giving them the right kind of start to their education journey.

Innovative ‘Themed’ Approach

Mandalay International Kindergarten is a part of Shuu Kin Thar International College established in 2000. The group runs several premier international schools across Myanmar. This school used innovative theme-based approaches. Students are trained in Music and Movement, Story & Music, English Phonics: Letter & Sound, Music and Movement,Story & Music, English Phonics: Letter & Sound, English Writing, English Language & Literacy, Social Studies, Environmental Awareness – Field Trips, Math, Science, Fine Arts, Drawing & Painting, Computer, Physical development: Large motor skills, sand and water, Blocks, Gymnastics/Swimming & Various Sports, Health & Safety, and Drama.

The school focuses on the development of creativity and independence by providing guided play periods to children. These periods facilitate the learning process as children use various innovative items to gain an idea about the world. Students also take part in field trips, performances and family programmes from time to time. All students from this school can gain admission in any of the international schools run by the same group upon graduation.
