Seamless Education

The early years programme caters to students aged 2 to 4. The school strives to create a strong educational foundation during this time. The student to staff ratio is kept low to ensure personalised attention to each student. The school regularly communicates with parents to ensure a seamless education between the school and home.

The elementary programme is conducted by highly experienced teachers who deliver high-quality American education. The school follows the ‘Common Core’ philosophy of American learning and concentrates on Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies at this level. Focus is given on reading, writing and comprehension skills during this state. The school timetable also reflects art, music, IT, Myanmar language and physical education classes.

Advanced Placement programmes

In the secondary level, Yangon American International School offers the Advanced Placement programme and the American High School Diploma. Students have the option of choosing either of the programmes or both. This will help children to gain admission in any university of college across the world.

The school also offers a College Advisory programme where they address topics such as note-taking, goal-setting, time management, study strategies and test-taking. it also conducts comprehensive pre-University testing starting in Grade 8 to ensure children get the right kind of guidance to apply for universities across the world.
