Tara Pattana International School

Tara Pattana International School (also referred to as TPIS) sets high expectations of learning that inspires students to reach their full potential. The school provides British education with a global perspective where learning is provided through six interlinking elements to create caring, resilient individuals who can demonstrate leadership in a globalised world.

International School in Pattaya Town

There is a real mix of students from around the world, thereby creating a school spirit of diversity, mutual respect, and understanding. This factor is heightened when considering that the school is located within the heart of the international community in Pattaya (just about 15 minutes from the centre of Pattaya town) and the school takes pride in ensuring a happy and fulfilling experience for the whole family, when interacting with the school.

The school’s focus lies in academics, activities, outdoor education, learning for life, community service and global citizenship. The school’s curriculum has been designed keeping children’s’ natural inquisitiveness and curiosity in mind.

The education curriculum is wholly British based, providing both rigorous learning opportunities and a globalised perspective for students throughout their Early Years, Primary, and Secondary stage education at TPIS. Although heavily reliant on the English national curriculum, the school does try to adapt some of its values from Thai culture.

Early Years to Secondary Education

The school offers education to students from preschool up to secondary levels. The curriculum is personalised where teachers plan their own lessons and homework to come to desired outcomes. This helps students retain their uniqueness and flourish.

The curriculum also includes a global perspective and is quite rigorous. Learning is mostly question-based where the emphasis lies in problem-solving, building a pupil’s ability to reason and think independently.

Thai is the major language which is taught at the school so that students have a grounding to Thai culture. Students learn a lot of other languages as well. The Tara Pattana International School describes its students to be resilient, curious, independent, kind, risk-taking, positive, reflective and team-players.
