The ELC International School, The Purple Elephant @ 55 was established in 1984 to provide a beautiful natural environment to nurture curious minds. This early childhood education facility has a lovely rustic location on a quiet street or soi in Thonglor, Bangkok and is part of the ELC International Schools Bangkok family of international schooling centres.
The Early Learning Centre seeks to provide an intellectually stimulating environment and encourages the free flow of ideas where students gain knowledge and explore their creative side through a curriculum known as co-construct learning. This approach uses a method called “Project”, which encourages in-depth explorations of contemporary topics and varying culture.
The design aesthetic of this international preschool is meant to evoke the significance of relationships. Reinforcing this focus on relationships is all the glass that is used to connect the various different spaces together, which the school claims helps support more meaningful and stronger learning bonds.
The school consists of a multicultural community comprising of students, teachers and parents. Because of this, students are encouraged to get to know, and to make the effort to understand different cultures.
In addition, the teachers teach students to aim high as a team by teaching them to collaborate and work together. While building their teamwork and leadership skills, this also paves the way for a more challenging curriculum in the City School Campus.
The ELC International School, The Purple Elephant @ 55 is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Council of International Schools and International Students Admissions Test.
The school appreciates the importance of the development stage. Hence, the school campus houses gardens with trees and flowers which provide children with crucial lessons about nature.
The curriculum is designed to widen the intelligence of children and provide a deeper understanding of their surroundings. As they broaden their perspective, the school continuously supports students for each endeavour and helps them to find meaning in the world around them.
