Korean International School of Bangkok

Korean International School of Bangkok was established in 2001 in association with the Government of the Republic of Korea and follows the Korean national curriculum. It is the only international school established in Thailand with the approval, endorsement, and support of the South Korean Ministry of Education.

The school was made possible by the generous support of Korean expatriate parents who were working or had settled down in Thailand. These parents, in general, wanted their children to be educated according to the Korean method and generously supported the development of the first fully recognised Korean international school in Bangkok.

Korean School in Bangkok

The school follows the general education process of the Republic of Korea, bringing its model of education and culture to expatriate children and families across Thailand. Korean International School of Bangkok or KISB adapts the national curriculum of the Republic of Korea rather faithfully, with a systematic implementation across the whole school.

KISB has been attempting to educate its student population with the virtues of respecting themselves while helping and loving others, and to live with the pride of being Korean. Likewise, the teachers also deeply care and have respect for the children’s right to learn and grow and flourish.

The curriculum has been designed to keep pace with the rapidly changing world conditions. KISB intends their student body to emerge as fully formed, holistically educated individuals. The school teaches multiple languages to students including English and Thai, as well as programmes based on Korean language and Korean culture education.
