International School Eastern Seaboard (which is now known as ISE) follows a vision to provide a caring international community dedicated to student success. The school’s mission involves preparing international students for leading a successful life.
The school strives to create a lifelong love of learning by cultivating high-level thinking and imparting effective communication skills in students. The school’s campus and overall environment encourages each child to be a strong, powerful individual who has been empowered to be an active, participating member of the community.
ISE originally welcomed its first-ever students in 1993 with a new high school set up in 1997, and began offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme ten years after the school’s inception, in 2003. Under the authorisation of the Thai Ministry of Education, ISE has also always offered the American Schools education model, presently employing highly trained and experienced staff to both manage the operations of the school as well as the instructional programmes.
As per the American schooling system, the International School Eastern Seaboard follows expected schoolwide learning results (ESLRs) which include self-directed thinkers, empowered lifelong learners, effective communicators and responsible global citizens. The self-directed learner collects, evaluates and uses information from varied sources and demonstrates a high level of critical thinking skills.
The school offers education from preschool through secondary levels and follows the IB curriculum. Along with the curriculum, the school has various clubs and activities where students can participate such as Model United Nations, National Honor Society, Creativity-Action-Service, Global Issues Network, Green Initiative, International and local Sports, and a number of social services activities.
ISE is fortuitously located within a vibrant and multicultural community due to its proximity to the largest tourist-focused city in Thailand, Pattaya. The campus and facilities are a major contributing factor to what makes ISE such an ideal learning environment for children to grow, mature, and develop into global citizens of the future.
Some of the exemplary facilities at the campus include the ceramics studio, makers space & innovation lab, fine arts centre, speech & drama studios, graphic design studio, football field, theatre & band areas, volleyball courts, basketball courts, art studio, auditorium, well-equipped library, speech & drama studios, as well as padded outdoor playing areas for the younger grades.
