Panyaden International School

Panyaden International School believes in teaching children to enjoy learning and learning to love wisdom. The school seeks to deliver a holistic education-based on Buddhist principles integrated with a modern curriculum.

Students become internationally compatible and possess expertise in reading, writing, mathematics and science. Unlike many other international schools in the region, this school also imparts practical life skills in students such as how to grow vegetables, how to eat healthily, how to overcome difficulties and social responsibility.

International School in Chiang Mai

The school’s main aim is to impart a practical approach that incorporates all the focused values, and in the process develop resilient, highly educated, and thoughtful individuals, whose British curriculum education is supplemented by gaining a better understanding of four areas of self-development known in Buddhism as ‘Bhavana’. Those four core areas are physical, emotional, social, and intellectual.

The Panyaden International School offers a perfect balance of international and Thai education and hence is a favourite of both expat and Thai nationals. The school follows the National Curriculum of England and caters to students in the preschool and primary levels.

Buddhist Core Principles

This is a green school with the school building built from natural materials such as earth and bamboo. The school is located within a rice paddy field, just a short 15 minutes drive from the city centre. This concentration on the core principles, as well as the focus on the physical, practical aspects of their outdoor location, leads to developing individuals of strong character, solid moral conduct, and the appreciation for building lasting, healthy relationships for the duration of their lives.

Apart from academia, students get the opportunity to engage in weekly activities which teach them life skills such as meditation, self-reliance, social responsibility. These activities include nature studies, meditation and mindfulness activities, organic vegetable growing, household repairs, rice farming, recycling, weaving and needlework, building a shelter and other survival skills.
