American Pacific International School follows a mission to be a community of passionate educators who inspire, nurture and maximize each student’s potential to become a global citizen and a happy life long learner. The school’s vision is to create graduates who are empathetic, self-reliant, internationally minded citizens.
Nestled among the scenic Samoeng Mountains is this main campus which allows for much space and opportunity for learning, playing, and participating in a variety of activities. Many of the pupils who attend the elementary and secondary classes at this campus, had first undergone their primary schooling at the American Pacific International School Primary Campus.
Graduates learn values such as acceptance and appreciation of people and their beliefs. They are accountable for their actions towards others and are committed to treating everyone with respect and integrity.
American Pacific International School – Main Campus consists of the Elementary School and the Secondary School. The elementary school caters to kindergarten and primary students and follows the famous International Baccalauleate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP). Students sit for the PYP examinations at the end of 6th grade.
Students pick up skills such as literacy, numeracy and social development at the elementary stage. The secondary school consists of middle school and secondary levels. Students are offered the IB curriculum at this stage, culminating with the IB Diploma Programme.
The students will constantly be challenged and pushed with ongoing assessment tests, which can be customised after every module, so that educators can optimise further assessments in order to better reflect the desired learning outcomes for each young learner. This is further augmented with programmes headed by trained counsellors, and experiential learning to aid in the development of the complete child
Apart from the curricula, students are offered a number of after-school activities which include cultural, theatrical, physical, artistic, musical, academic and scientific pursuits. Students can engage in a number of sporting activities such as volleyball, soccer, futsal, basketball, swimming, badminton and are encouraged to take part in state level and national competitions.
