Hwa Chong International School (HCIS) is a member of the worldwide cooperative of Hwa Chong group of schools. The school follows a mission to develop internationalism, innovation and independence among all students.
The school describes itself as a local international school where students from 20 plus countries study together. Hwa Chong International School caters to students of the Secondary level. The school offers IGCSE and IB Diploma to students. HCIS also provides boarding facilities at their modern residential building, with renovations due to be completed in June 2020. The boarders will also have access to the swimming pool and outdoor sports complex which houses basketball courts, a running track, tennis court, outdoor fitness centre, not to mention an indoor multi-sports hall as well.
Besides having Mentors to look after the physical and emotional well-being of the residents, there are also enrichment programmes, community programmes, and recreational programmes to foster closer bonds among the multicultural attendees as well as to ease them into the introduction of boarding life.
The Hwa Chong International School campus is well equipped with an assortment of sports facilities, and also teaching and learning facilities such as a multipurpose hall, science laboratories, lecture theatres, libraries, tennis courts, basketball courts, a running track, an indoor sports hall as well as the state of the art Hwa Chong Cultural Centre Theatre. The school also offers boarding facilities to students.
