Chatsworth International School currently has two campuses in Singapore – Orchard Campus and Bukit Timah campus. Chatsworth is an IB World School and provides the entire range of IB curriculum from Primary up to the Diploma programme. The curriculum is modified to ensure that students emerge as inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, courageous, balanced, and reflective.
The school is a member of Athletic Conference of Singapore International Schools and hence provides great sports facilities to students. Students’ talent in arts is encouraged through various activities such as the school band and the vocal ensemble. The school has options to pursue visual arts and drama and participate in a range of activities to hone their skills.
Some of the spaces and facilities of the campus was redesigned and redeveloped to cater for primary years only, with new programmes introduced to enhance both the study and play environments. Chatsworth is the first school in Singapore to bring in some of this play structures and equipment, making for a refreshing, safe and enriching experience.
To make the play and recreational time as inclusive and accessible as possible, these unique structures sport numerous entry and exit points so the play is continuously fluid, and many kids can participate together safely. There are also hammocks, seats, and structured spaces for the children to sit and peer bond.
Additionally several new programmes were initiated to round out the child’s development, such as: a new space for an enhanced motor skills programme dubbed the Perceptual Motor Programme (PMP) which consists of the holistic development of activities, language, and movements; a dedicated Discovery Centre and makers space to better provide for the sciences, design, cooking, and construction; and an expanded arts programme which was to highlight the performing arts.
