Founded in 2012, by Fr. Ismael Zulonga, Xavier School Nuvali is a Jesuit Catholic college preparatory and a K-12 school that was founded and managed by the Society of Jesus, otherwise known as the Jesuits.
The school’s education philosophy is based on the 400-year education philosophy of the Jesuit tradition: that is, to ensure that the formation of an individual who is a product of a liberal education, with a special concern for the development of personal discipline, a drive for the pursuit of academic excellence and a commitment to service.
As captured in the school motto of “Luceat Lux!” (from the Latin meaning “Let your light shine!”) The school’s mission is to recognise in each student the light within them even if it is only a flicker, by helping each student recognise that light and make that light grow.
One of the main mandates of the school is to offer financial assistance to students from the lower-income group. 25% of the school population is offered financial assistance. The school offers a three-level curriculum, Early Education, Grade School and High School. The school also offers International Baccalaureate, as part of providing quality education to its students.
The institution’s secondary mission is to live and be productive as members of a united Christian community, the students charged with living in peace and harmony with the surrounding community as a good example and beacon to others.
Its 15-hectare campus is located at the heart of Nuvalia, an eco-community development in Calamba, Laguna making it a school that focuses on sustainability.
The school provides facilities such as a library, multipurpose halls, computer laboratory, football field, basketball courts, volleyball courts, swimming pool and science laboratory.
