The school began in 2001, when the Woodridge School in Cavite (now known as the Woodridge College), opened ‘the school of the new millennium’ to be known as the Woodridge School – Cebu, which on the other hand was motivated by the growing need for an excellent school in the Banilad area of Cebu City.
The school started offering Preschool level first, then, gradually opened both the Grade School and High School levels. As it strengthens its goal to provide excellent education to both the local children as well as the growing international population, Woodridge School – Cebu was officially renamed to the Woodridge International School Manila in 2011, to develop globally competitive students. Currently, it is a registered member of the Cambridge International School with a more enhanced, equipped and dynamic curriculum.
Education at Woodridge International School Manila begins from 2 years old until 18 years old. The school introduces a flexible and enriched curriculum wherein every subject matter is covered for a week’s duration for mastery.
On Wednesdays (Level 7-10) and Fridays (Preschool and Levels 1-6) are scheduled for their non-academic subjects like Physical Education, Arts, Music, Computer and their Interest Clubs. Well-equipped, competent and dedicated educators are trained to be highly effective with enhanced teaching strategies, skills and techniques.
The Cambridge Education in this school is the integration and enrichment of Math, Science and English Curriculum. Online training support is provided to teachers to gain innovative strategies to make learning lively, well-paced, developmental, active and varied. Progression tests and checkpoints are administered to assess the student’s performance. A Certificate of Achievement is given to every student which is widely acknowledged around the world.
