Established in 1976, The British School Manila is the oldest and only non-profit international school in Manila offering a British education for students from Nursery (age 3) up to Year 13 (age 18). Each year the school welcomes more than 900 students, of more than 40 nationalities.
Comprising the Primary School and the Senior School, the campus is open, airy and family-friendly, encouraging students to interact with other year groups, supporting close engagement with UK and Commonwealth trained teaching staff, and nurturing home and school partnerships. The school aims to develop students as positive global citizens who are equipped with skills and values to be able and willing to contribute to the world.
The British School Manila offers education from ages 3 till age 18 with their English National Curriculum, IGCSE and International Baccalaureate. In Primary, students will be empowered to reflect on and drive their own learning, be encouraged to become inquisitive and independent, and will be supported as they develop high-quality communication skills.
The School values and promotes the development of your child’s collaborative and thinking skills, using our class-based and co-curricular programmes. Moving on to the Senior School, it offers a more lively, dynamic, learning-focused environment.
By guiding and supporting students on their journey to academic excellence, the School also provides them with opportunities to develop the skills needed for life as global citizens, underpinning this with a strong emphasis on the development of moral values.
Whilst much learning takes place inside the classroom, we place a high level of importance on providing experiences beyond the scope of the traditional curriculum. Our Service, Sports, Visual and Performing Arts, Residential programmes and Model United Nations groups are all extremely strong. Through a strong holistic approach to the students’ education, it is supported by a strong, active Student Welfare Team that is designed to be tailored to meet the needs and passions of each student.
