The British School Yangon

The British School Yangon opened in 2014 and provides high-quality British education to in Early Years, Primary and Secondary levels up to Year 10 at the moment. The school has plans to expand over the years. Students from 40 nationalities study here, thus contributing to a multi-cultural student community.

British School of Yangon follows the English National Curriculum and adds on to the curriculum for helping students grow up to be competent individuals, ready to take on the challenges of the future. Students take the IGCSE and A-level examinations at the end of their learning journey. Apart from strong academic departments, the school also offers a wide range of co-curricular activities and pastoral care.

Memorable Educational Journey

In Early Years, the school concentrates on providing a memorable educational experience which helps students develop a positive point of view towards learning. In the primary level, the learning goes beyond the classroom and students are made to hone their skills in sports, music, arts, drama, community service and a variety of other areas. The secondary level education mostly questions and trains problem-solving skills which teach the students to think independently.

The school has extensive facilities for students. In 2018, the school relocated to a new purpose-built building with state-of-the-art facilities. From art studios, music rooms and purpose-built classrooms to extensive sports facilities in the form of football fields and swimming pools, the school offers everything that students need for holistic development.

British School of Yangon has strategic partnerships with leading organisations of the world such as The Juilliard School, MIT and UNICEF which help children develop an international mindset and succeed in their learning journey. The school is also a part of the Nord Anglia Education which helps the students connect to 56 international schools across the globe. Students can collaborate and interact through an online community and take part in international trips and expeditions which provide them with invaluable experience in their lives.
