Local Expat Mix

This campus was opened in 2009 and holds an excellent reputation of an institution of the highest quality. The school offers an inclusive learning environment where everybody can learn and develop in a caring family atmosphere. Students of MISY have consistently delivered good results in IGCSE and A-Level examinations.

The student community in the school consists of local and expat children. Studying in an international community has far-reaching benefits for children.

Apart from academics, the school regularly engages students in community service and working with local charities. These provide valuable lessons in humanity to students. The school also maintains a great track record in sports, music and drama. The school follows an objective to understand and fulfill the expectation of parents, provide meaningful education to children and teach them the traditions of valuing family.

Hands-On Learning

In the preschool stage, the school follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum which is delivered by experienced and well-qualified teachers. Children are engaged through play and hands-on activities during this stage. The curriculum is flexible and can be modified according to the needs and interests of children. The school follows the English National Curriculum from Key Stages 1 to 3.

All the subjects are taught by well-qualified professionals who deliver the best educational experience to students. The school has specialised classrooms with a homeroom teacher who looks after the daily needs of children. Myanmar International School Yangon also encourages students and teachers to develop special bonds which make their school life memorable and fun. Apart from academics, the school also encourages students to take part in extra-curricular activities regularly.
