Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School (or better known as Bangkok Prep) was established with a vision to create learners who realise their full potential, both within and outside the purview of academics. This sprawling and ever-improving school is spread across two campuses: the primary school campus and the secondary school campus.
Established in 2003, Bangkok Prep presently sees 1200 students enrolled representing upwards of 40 nationalities across both campuses. The school follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales starting from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) programme from three to five years old, up to the Sixth Form at Years 12 and 13 otherwise known as Key Stage 5.
The school creates a collaborative learning experience where students enjoy the learning process. This enables the school to create global-minded individuals who possess high moral standard and showcase integrity and empathy to others.
Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School has a multicultural student community with students from 42 nationalities studying in the school. They offer education for Early Years, Primary, Secondary, and Sixth Form. In the sixth form, students are prepared for higher learning at the university stage by learning critical thinking and independent decision-making.
The school motivates students to explore their interest areas and shine both inside and outside the classroom as students are actively encouraged to undertake various sporting activities such as sailing, swimming, tennis, football and golf. The school believes in balancing academics and co-curricular activities to create complete individuals ready to face global challenges.
Students are also encouraged to participate in social activities to give back to society. Students are encouraged to become leaders by making them lead activities such as fundraising activities to instil confidence in them to lead the way in future.
Bangkok Prep is internationally acclaimed for its academic prowess, receiving a triple accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS), the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment (ONESQA), and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
The school is a member of various other recognised associations including the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT), but is notably the first school in the country to receive the Eco Schools Green Flag Award for sustainable education awareness and practice, as well as the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh International Award.
