Tenby School Setia Eco Park was established in 2008 in the award-winning Setia Eco Park development of Setia Alam, offering a premium education choice to parents located in Klang, Shah Alam, and Petaling Jaya.
The school applies a holistic, evidence-based philosophy designed to build the character of students and empower lifelong, independent learning. By combining brain research and global educational experience, the school’s teachers are able to challenge students on a personal, individualised basis to push students towards true breakthroughs in learning.
The Tenby Schools organisation is one of the country’s few academic organisations to run a dual-stream program, one that incorporates the best elements from both local (Sekolah Sri Tenby) and international (Tenby International School) curriculum.
Since then, the Tenby Schools group has grown to become one of South-East Asia’s largest groups of private international schools, with six purpose-built campuses across the Malaysian Peninsular including Tenby International School Ipoh and one campus in Sarawak, Tenby International School Miri.
They also hold to the idea that educating children involves nurturing the whole person and meeting all physical, mental and emotional needs.
There are 4 education levels that the school offers which are Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form. For Early Years, the school places emphasis on holistic enquiry and play-based approach that covers all curriculum areas including personal, social and emotional development and believes that rigorous assessments are of secondary importance to developing a well-rounded, inquisitive learner at this early stage.
For Primary years programme, students develop their character of a lifelong learner by exposing students to repeated experiences that train them to get better through dedication. On Secondary education, students are provided with a support system for independent learning, it is their responsibility to set the right targets for students, provide personalised feedback and ensure that students internalise the right reflections and good habits from their learning. The school also offers Sixth Form programme where students are guided towards a personalised and manageable curriculum that reflects their interests and ambitions.
Tenby School Setia Eco Park offers a variety of facilities which reflects their commitment to students’ holistic development. Information technology is seamlessly integrated into the learning environment where classrooms are equipped with interactive SMART boards, projectors and computers to enhance multisensorial learning and keep information close at hand.
Other facilities such as computer labs, library, music room, an auditorium, drama studio, aquatic centre, football fields, art rooms, music rooms, basketball courts, science laboratories, cafeteria, dining rooms (For Early Years), sports hall, design & technology laboratories and tennis courts to provide space for students to explore and develop their talents and soft skills.
