International School of Kuala Lumpur is an IB World School and has been authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to provide the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) since 1989. In addition to the full IB DP, students also have the option of combining individual IB, Advanced Placement (AP) and American High School Diploma courses to create a bespoke programme that is tailor-made to fit their abilities, interests, and aspirations.

International School of Kuala Lumpur is also accredited internationally through the Council of International Schools (CIS), and in the United States through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The current, state-of-the-art campus is set on approximately 26 acres of land adjoining the Royal Selangor Polo Club in Ampang Hilir, and was designed to create the most advanced learning environment possible at the time featuring academics, the arts, as well as athletic resources. This includes world-class science labs and classrooms with flexible teaching spaces, two libraries, gymnasiums, competition-worthy swimming facilities, regulation racing track, plus playing fields as well as a fully-fitted performing arts centre.
