Green Montessori School

Green Montessori School integrates Islamic Values and Environmental Perspective into their education. The school seamlessly applies a highly effective Montessori approach as its main foundation. Guided closely by the Montessori approach, all of the curriculums, teachers, activities, and environments are carefully designed to develop children’s lifelong desire for learning.

Student-Centred Approach

As Montessori method is student-centred, the school customises its approach to suit each student’s interest and pace. The school’s vision is to cultivate a child’s potential in a prepared, safe, eco-friendly, and Islamic values-based environment.

Located in South Jakarta, the school provide quality education for Kindergarten (3 to 5 years old), Lower Elementary (6 to 9 years old), and Upper Elementary (10 to 12 years old).  Starting from the Preschool & Kindergarten level, the school designed the departments to accommodate the child’s developmental needs, while at the same time gradually preparing them for the Elementary setting.

The school offers each child with a fun and active-learning opportunity to help them master their abilities in cognitive development, language, social, motor skills, self-discipline, independence, self-esteem, and creativity.

Montessori Method in Green Montessori School

As for Lower Elementary, it is specially designed to meet the organic developmental needs of adolescent children. All activities are also integrated with time-management exercises to sharpen children’s ability to allocate their time effectively and be responsible.

As for the Upper Elementary Programme, Green Montessori School specially developed the syllabus to meet the natural pace and interests of children.  The Upper Elementary activities aim to further advance the academic experience of students as they are now capable of both concrete and abstract thinking. In response to the need for peer contact, all Upper Elementary activities encourage social interaction through group work as part of each student’s academic work.

The school also has facilities such as computer labs, cafeteria, library, playground, music room, playground and swimming pool. The school is also planning to build more facilities to cater to the education needs of children today.
