Established in 1996, The International School of Kuantan (ISK) is a private international school and is the only international school in Kuantan that provides quality education to elementary, middle and high school students based on the curricula and practices of public and private schools in the United States of America.

The objective of the school is not only to provide extensive academic learning but also to empower and challenge all graduates to reach their full potential.
International School of Kuantan believes that education is based on the acquisition of competencies and comprehension through each grade. ISK’s education curriculum is classified into three categories: primary school — kindergarten & grades 1 – 5 (age 5 – 11); middle school — grades 6 – 8 (age 11 – 14); and high school — grades 9 – 12 (age 14 – 18).
English is used as the medium of instruction to prepare students for admission to university. Graduates of ISK have been accepted to prestigious colleges and universities around the world. ISK awards its graduates with an American High School Diploma, fully recognised via the Western Schools and College Association (WASC).
For most instances, students with an American High School Diploma are able to circumvent intermediate education, such as a foundation year or the A-levels, and in tandem with the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), may sometimes enter straight into Bachelor Degree courses.
