Victoria International School, the first international school in Kuala Langat was found and is being run by passionate educators. The school follows a vision to be a preferred education institution internationally.
The goal of the Victoria International School is to build vibrant and diverse learning centers that provide students with an opportunity to grow holistically and then become skilled and responsible citizens of the world. The school believes each child is exceptional and blessed with the ability to succeed.
The school strives to create vibrant and dynamic centres for learning so that students are able to develop holistically to grow up as competent global citizens. The school offers the Cambridge International Curriculum to students from preschool to secondary levels.
The Pre-school stage centres on skills development for early literacy, engine synchronization, thinking skills, positive self-concept and independence. Care is as critical as the style curriculum because the learners are young children. Preschool is about establishing social behaviours, preparing children to learn and developing school readiness, in order to set them up for the rest of their academic career.
The Primary curriculum gives children opportunities to develop in various ways, through supporting them with experience in: study and inquiry review and problem solving; independent work; group work; use of ICT throughout the curriculum; real-life situations through visits and visitors; conversations, role play and oral presentations; hands-on learning; and studying outside the classroom.
Students are given access to a wide range of courses in Lower Secondary school (between Years 7 and 9) so they can explore different fields of study, grow their skills and discover more about their own capabilities. The program offered in Years 10 and 11 builds on the previous years of knowledge, skills and confidence.
Various variations of subjects are added to allow for a greater degree of specialisation. Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) provides all of the subjects. Students will sit for the Cambridge IGCSE exams at the end of Year 11.
Victoria International School harps on the importance of reading and develop a reading habit within students. The school helps students to find their own talent and pursue the same. The school is conducted in a newly renovated campus which provides a conducive environment for learning.
The school strongly believes that each child is unique and motivates each student to realize their full potential. The school encourages students, to learn through self-discovery. The school will continually preserve an up-to-date syllabus, quality teachers and the highest standard of support systems.
Victorial International School will cultivate a cosmopolitan atmosphere that celebrates cultural differences and respects the ideals, beliefs and practices of interculture. The school will also ensure that all students are treated with dignity and respect and have the ability to stand out in what they are successful at.
Alongside curriculum, the school teaches a number of associated skills to children such as speech, drama, handicrafts and culinary skills. The school also encourages students to participate in sporting activities such as chess, volleyball, basketball and table tennis.
