The PreKindergarten is designed to make learning easier by exploration. Students have the opportunities to play and discover the environments offered throughout the classroom or on campus. In an anxiety-free environment, conceptions of reading and math are formed inside each pupil. Students continue within their personal interests and speed with their education. Kindergarten does not possess reading level exit requirements.
Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 focus on key literacy skills: reading, writing, listening and talking. Through the 6 + 1 Trait Writing Model of Instruction and Assessment and the Daily 5 literacy framework, students learn the art of the English language. Numeracy is a regular priority as students work while creating sound mathematical methods to achieve a consistency between principles and techniques. A learner-centered approach to realistic hands-on education incorporates science, social studies, visual art, music, physical education, and the world language. Throughout the curriculum, technology is integrated.
Students in Middle School switch to topic-specific instructors. The students are exposed to language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, visual arts, performing arts, physical education, fitness, and technology. The curriculum of the Middle School is designed to prepare students for quite a productive high school transition. The students are encouraged to pursue their passions and interests.
