Kinabalu International School is the oldest school in Sabah which is dedicated to provide excellent education in a caring and respectful environment where students are motivated to achieve their highest potential. The school has over 470 students from more than 33 nationalities.

KIS students have a remarkably high rate of excellence in a number of internationally accredited examination boards, with 70% of students getting between an A to C grades in the A Level examinations, and an even more staggering 90% getting between A to C grades in the IGCSE exams, with a pass rate of 99.7% in the IGCSEs and a complete 100% rate in the A Levels.
