The Montessori International School of Vietnam (MIS) was founded in 2007. It was the first and is, therefore, the oldest school in Vietnam that practises the Montessori philosophy. The School is a Full International Member of the internationally respected American Montessori Society (AMS).
The Montessori International School of Vietnam (MIS) takes great pride in providing care and education to children in their formative years. Parents expect different things from their child’s first schooling experience. Some parents come to me and say that they would like their child just to be happy. Others expect their child to be academically advanced when leaving our programme.
The Montessori International School of Vietnam seeks to enable all its students to achieve their full potential by providing them with a nurturing and stimulating environment, and by being sensitive and responsive to their individual needs. The School strongly emphasises the development of the child’s qualities and skills that will help them become happy, confident and responsible individuals with an intrinsic motivation for life-long learning.
Following the worldwide significant growth, Montessori education in Vietnam has seen a phenomenal surge in recent years. We are also proud to have helped train and coach many Head Teachers and Teaching Assistants (via the School and in other schools in HCMC).
Montessori inspired schools are now found outside of the major metropolitan areas in the country. From its pioneer role, MIS has contributed, and will continue to do so, to the development of the Montessori education in Vietnam.
We would love to invite all families who are interested in seeing an authentic Montessori school to visit us and spend some time in our school get to know our community. We are happy to sit down with you and answer any questions that you may have. We are excited to welcome your child upon their first visit. In the meantime, we wish each and every one of you all the very best.
