Cempaka International School Cheras

Founded in 1983, Cempaka International School Cheras has expanded greatly to form the Cempaka group of schools which comprises of two schools in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. Dato’ Freida Pilus started Cempaka School in a rented bungalow to provide the best possible education for her sons.

The Cempaka School has expanded since then to become the Cempaka Group of Schools – a group of private and international schools in Kuala Lumpur & Selangor, comprising of two schools, spread over two campuses – one called Cempaka International School Damansara Heights, and one in Cheras.

IGCSE & IB Diploma in Malaysia

This school is one of the leading schools in Malaysia. It follows the UK-based Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum, International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB – DP) and Global Assessment Certificate (GAC).

Students of year 7-11 are offered IGCSE along with IB DP and GAC programme. The school strives to create a modern learning environment against the Asian setting. Students learn varied skills such as entrepreneurship, communication, design, innovation, global awareness, cultural understanding, media skills, information literacy, art appreciation and environmental responsibility. These learnings are inbuilt in the formal curriculum and the co-curricular activities.
