Garden International School Eastern Seaboard, Ban Chang was opened in 1994 to provide education to children of the growing international community living around the area. The Garden International School Eastern Seaboard, Ban Chang offers an all-through train education- from preschool up to secondary levels. In the secondary level, students are further offered the IB Diploma course as well as the IGCSEs.
In fact, GIS is the only school in this part of Thailand to have been fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), and the school also happens to be the one with the most experience as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in the area, with a near hundred per cent passing rate in recent times.
Apart from the curriculum, students are also offered learning support to help them understand the curriculum better. This is done by providing in-class support individually or sometimes in small groups. GIS has students from over forty countries, ensuring a truly globalised learning adventure where each child will gain open-minded new experiences, simultaneously learning how to be future leaders.
The school has special educational needs staff where both teaching and non-teaching assistants work to support students. The school also provides English Language Support for students who are not confident in English. In this programme, students take the University of Cambridge Key English Test and the University of Cambridge Preliminary English Test.
Coupled with the excellent academic outlook, additionally, each child can also benefit from the green, natural campus with smaller class sizes for more personalised attention from the fully qualified, vastly experienced teachers.
Apart from the curriculum, the school offers a number of co-curricular activities in sports and arts. Students can take part in swimming, football, running and other activities.
