Ekamai International School

Ekamai International School (also known as EIS) is a private school operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Mission of Thailand. Originally established as a child training centre (with just four students in the first ever class) in 1946, the school now offers a full-fledged education from preschool until secondary level with English as the main medium of instruction.

U.S. Style Education in Bangkok, Thailand

Since 1992, EIS has officially been granted international school status from the Thai Ministry of Education. And besides the Accrediting Association of Seventh-Day Adventists (AAA), the school has further been recognised by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (or WASC) of Burlingame, California, U.S.A.

Ekamai’s curriculum is based on the American schools syllabus, and for well over sixty years has been providing an education in English for its student body, many of which are local Thai students who desire a good international education.

The school has a strong bond with parents which help students make the best of their educational journey. The student composition is primarily multicultural with children from twenty three countries attending the school. EIS places great emphasis on good disciplinary conduct, development of good character, as well as a caring, nurturing relationship between teacher and pupil.

Developing Sound Values

The Ekamai International School team works relentlessly to develop students with good character and conduct. Teachers provide personalised attention to each student and emphasise on the development of spiritual values of each student.

For children from pre-kindergarten to Grade 12, the school has a Montessori class for students to discover their love for learning. In secondary, students get an option to follow two kinds of diploma – college preparatory diploma and general education diploma.

Students get an in-depth understanding of all the relevant subjects during their stint in this school including arts, music, computer, language, mathematics, physical education, science, social studies, Thai language and culture, health, Chinese language and values. The school also offers a number of awards and recognition to meritorious students which motivate students to perform well.
