Chatsworth International School provides holistic International Baccalaureate education to students from preschool to secondary levels. The school is a reputed international school with a good academic track record.
Chatsworth was originally established in 1995 by a handful of teachers and only 5 students, and at first founded in the Upper Serangoon area. Now at this point, the school has grown to include another campus here at Bukit Timah and has over 800 students at both campuses, offering an international education and attracting a variety of diverse nationalities (there are less than 50 different nationalities represented at the two campuses together).
Despite this, Chatsworth remembers their small school roots, and responds accordingly by providing small classroom sizes and giving their pupils a nurturing and trusting environment where they have the space to learn, explore, and grow not only as learners, but as human beings. At the international school level, the maximum class size is 24 students with different teacher to student ratios at different levels: 22 pupils to 2 teachers at the Kindergarten level (K1 & K2), 24 pupils to 2 teachers at Year 1 and Year 2 levels, and one teacher to 24 students from Year 3 up to Year 13.
Chatsworth also has it’s local preschool, which is registered with the Early Childhood Development Agency in Singapore, that was opened in 2003. which now has up to 190 young kids
The school is proud of the closely knit community where everyone knows each other. It provides a great environment for learning and encourages students to pursue their own passion. The school creates a friendly and nurturing environment where students feel at home. The school teaches students to value and respect each other, which contributes to developing the closely knit community they have today spread across 2 different locations.
Chatsworth is an IB World School and provides the entire range of IB curriculum from Primary up to the Diploma programme. The curriculum is modified to ensure that students emerge as inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, courageous, balanced and reflective.
