Lodge International School

Lodge International School offers the British National Curriculum to students of primary through the secondary level. The school provides a friendly and conducive environment for learning. Students are provided personal attention and are taken care of.

In 1953, Lodge Group of Schools began as The Lodge Preparatory School and Kindergarten to fulfil the educational needs of the offspring of UK expatriates in Kuching. It was housed at The Masonic Lodge, Batu Lintang, Kuching, then moved to The Sarawak Club and then, in 1969, to Pearse Road. In 1984, Lodge International School eventually moved to its current site in Tabuan Jaya.

International School in Kuching

English was the instructional medium back then. In 1985 the Bahasa Malaysia (Malay as the national language) system was launched in accordance with Malaysian National Education Policy. The Lodge Group of Schools currently operates under four distinct entities: Lodge Kindergarten (Tadika Lodge T.1006) Lodge Primary School (Sekolah Rendah Lodge SRS.1008) Lodge Secondary School (SMS.1020) and Lodge International School.

The international school boasts of a faculty team who are well-disciplined, experienced and dedicated teachers. Students are also taught virtues of good character, self-discipline, sense of responsibility, respect, appreciation and a desire to learn. This helps students to grow up to be all rounded personalities.

International School in Sarawak

In the preschool level, students learn through play activities which helps them in understanding how to do social interaction. In the primary level, each student is taught English and Bahasa Malaya so that their command over the languages is developed. Students of primary and middle school are taught English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Design and Technology, Information Technology, Art and Design, Music and Physical Education.

Together with the information and technology world of today, the Lodge Group of School ‘s community has developed a state-of-the-art ICT infrastructure that supports the comprehensive approach to learning and studying. Lodge International School has introduced the Lodge Information System, designed specifically to provide the School with both the personal and educational information required. The system will allow teachers to incrementally and regularly track and evaluate educational outcomes to help students achieve their learning objectives.

Students also participate in a range of extra-curricular activities which broadens their interest. Students also learn Mandarin through extra classes. The Lodge Schools Group also has several other excellently equipped and state-of-the-art facilities such as a fully furnished multi-purpose air-conditioned lobby for athletic, dramatic, musical and cultural activities; a custom digital ICT lab with broadband service to increase research ability; design & technology workshops, library with internet services, outdoor field and sports facilities such as basketball / futsal courts, lecture theatre, extensive close circuit television network (CCTV), interactive smart board in specialised subject rooms, and 24 hours security.
