Cempaka International School Damansara Heights is a part of the Cempaka group of schools which has two branches across Selangor and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. In 1983, Dato’ Freida Pilus started Cempaka School in a rented bungalow to provide the best possible education for her sons.
The Cempaka School has expanded since then to become the Cempaka Group of Schools – a group of private and international schools in Kuala Lumpur & Selangor, comprising of two schools, spread over two campuses – one in Damansara Heights, and one called Cempaka International School Cheras.
The school caters to parents who value hard work and healthy moral values. Cempaka International School Damansara Heights creates a competitive but nurturing environment in which children thrive and emerge as leaders in their respective fields.
By the time the graduate at the end of their twelve years at this campus, they would have developed the ability, moral compass and genuine desire to make a positive difference to their community and country, and to inspire others to do the same. A Cempakan, over the course of their 12-year career at the school, will be nurtured into a scholar, a sportsman, and a gentleman. They will also adopt a growth mindset and develop powerful character strengths like grit and self-control that will continue to serve them for life.
This school aims to raise students as all-rounders who maintain a strong academic record as well as are champions in extra-curricular activities. The school also emphasizes character building and humility, producing students who are well rounded achievers: possessing a strong academic track record whilst maintaining a complete co-curricular resume as well as a meaningful community service experience, in a relevant technologically-supported environment, with a one hundred per cent university (or equivalent) admission rate for all students.
Students range in age from four (Reception) to eighteen (A-Levels). Though Cempaka has expanded and modernized, and continues to be at the cutting edge of modern education, it has remained true to its original ideals: a school by a family for a family.
