SERRA International Pre-school was established in 2008 under the leadership of a team comprising to alumni from Harvard, IIT and IIM in partnership with EtonHouse International Education Group, Singapore. Serra is an Italian word for a place where life is nurtured. SERRA International Pre-school Viman Nagar, Pune was established with the objective to provide holistic development to children in the early years. The school aims to provide world class education based on a curriculum that is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy of Northern Italy and focuses on learning which is inquiry-based. Located in a renovated premises, the preschool has exclusive facilities for children along with child-friendly furniture, safety gates, fire extinguishers and grills to make the place safe and secure for them. The procedures adopted are tried and tested to ensure a safe, healthy and hygienic environment for the children. The teaching staff at SERRA International Preschool are experienced, qualified and have an excellent understanding of the needs of young children. A low teacher-child ratio of 1:10 is maintained so that each gets the required attention to reach their full potential. Teachers also play the role of caregivers as they are trained to provide first aid and perform health checks for young children.
