Renaissance College Hong Kong was established in 2006 to educate local and expat students of Hong Kong. The school is one of the 10 sites for the Hong Kong government’s Private Independent School Initiative which intends to provide parents with greater choices for their children’s education.

Renaissance College Hong Kong is an English medium international school accredited to the International Baccalaureate (IB), Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). It offers four IB programmes – Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, IB Diploma and the IB Career-related Programme.

The school caters to students from Year 1 to Year 13. The school’s mission is “to seek, to serve and to strive”.

The school boasts of an international student community with students from 40 different countries speaking 20 different languages study here. While it celebrates cultural and linguistic diversity, English is used as the main medium of instruction. It is a child-centric school which motivates children to strive for excellence, appreciate aesthetics and be empowered to take progressive action.

Co-curricular & Extra-curricular Activities at Renaissance College Hong Kong

The highlight of Renaissance College Hong Kong is its strong emphasis on co-curricular activities. Students are given the opportunity to explore new things, meet new friends and gain new knowledge. The school conducts innovative activities such as storytime, cube club, dance activities and others. These also help students to develop social skills.

In the secondary level, the extra-curricular activities are carried out in 10-week blocks and range from mathematics to rowing. The school also offers an Education Outside The Classroom programme which focuses on hands-on learning where students train under trained professionals. These provide students with options to grow academically and personally.

The school also runs various programmes where students are given the opportunity to participate in national and international sporting events. The school also has a number of musical ensembles such as a jazz band, a pop band, a concert band and others.
