The Khayay International School challenges children of different cultural backgrounds with the same passion for learning, to think critically and creatively, both independently and as a team, while preparing them for active and global citizenship and leadership.

We imagine a peaceful world, where people embrace each other’s differences and co-exist in a global community. It begins here at Khayay, where every child, every staff and every parent’s warmth and love for humanity radiate the halls and classrooms. It doesn’t matter what language you speak, which country you come from or what your financial background is. What matters most is the mutual understanding we have for others.

We are an education-based community dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing and culturally expansive environment for your child. From the minute a learner steps into our school, he or she is ready to learn more about the world, and be a part of it too. Everywhere, you will see the smiling faces of our energetic children, excited to learn about how trees grow or where colors come from. In the morning, the children wave in reply to the greetings from the cheerful security staff. During story time, students look on with wide-eyed wonder as the teacher reenacts a story. Behind-the-scenes, the kitchen staff begins preparing the wonderful snack and meals of the day. Everyone is a part of this close-knit community dedicated to building the best educational environment. The education we provide is based on 5 pillars of Socio-emotional development, Multi-lingualism, Peace Education, Integrated Education, and Co-existence with Nature, all of which support us in living out the values that we aspire to live by.

Guided by our educational philosophy, these are the nine values that ground us in the work we do everyday. They are the attitudes, practices and principles we want our learners to embody.

Socio-emotional development is one of the most important aspects of the education at The Khayay International School.

Socio-emotional development is about: having the willingness to learn and explore, respecting others, listening well, communicating clearly about personal opinions without hesitation or fear, and much more within a social context. At the core of all of these traits is high self-esteem, a strong sense of self with empathy.

Our educators create a safe and nurturing environment for our learners to build confidence and grow into themselves. We make sure that every child feels like s/he is part of a loving community and has a voice within it.

As humans, we have a great capacity for growth and development. Having a strong foundation of socio-emotional development prepares our children for a lifetime of learning and growth. Each child is his own, they thrive when allowed to learn at their own pace and in the ways that they learn best.
