Star Saigon International School is built around four learning elements that is the basis of learning and development: Independence and interdependence, communication, enquiry and healthy living and physical wellbeing. The units are based around exciting themes aimed to capture childrenâ€™s natural curiosity. Saigon Star International School has delivered the globally-recognised National Curriculum for England, and, in 2013, became one of the first schools in Vietnam to adopt the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). They now also offer discerning expat and Vietnamese parents the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) for 2 to 5 year olds and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) for 11to 14 year olds.
The solid foundation building through these rigorous curriculums ensure that the students that are graduates of the Star Saigon International School are prepared for the demands of high school and eventually university life. Overall, Saigon Star International School strives to deliver a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to all learners, one that gives learners the necessary knowledge, skills and understanding to be successful in the 21st Century, whilst also aiming to develop essential personal attitudes and aptitudes that will help them to make meaningful contributions to society, both now and in the future. In the core subjects of English and Maths, children complete standardised UK assessments which enables teachers to track and monitor student progress and performance against international benchmarks. At the end of Year 6, children take Cambridge exams for the first time, which provides learners with a certificate that is recognised worldwide.
