Formerly known as Singapore International School, United World College of South East Asia, UWCSEA is strongly rooted in the belief that education should embrace all divides, whether race, religion, culture, economic circumstances, or history.
Founded in Singapore in 1971, UWCSEA Dover Campus is the first school to offer IB Diploma in Asia. The spacious and modern campus houses more than 3000 students from 87 nationalities across the world.
Home to over 2500 students from 75 different nationalities, the East campus opened in the year 2008. 20 minutes from the city, the campus is centrally located and has great facilities for sports, arts and even professional development.
For more than 40 years now, UWCSEA has been offering a mission-driven and value-based international education to students, and is recognised as one of the leading international schools in the world.
It is an institution that believes in the diversity of academic achievements. They do not compromise on academic as well as personal excellence outside the classroom. The curriculum aims to help the students develop an understanding that is required to build peace and sustainable future, derived from UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development Goals.
In line with their beliefs and educational system, they provide many professional learning events such as workshops, meetings, certification courses and conferences in various areas of education for their students. This ties in with their 5 interlinking learning elements; academics, activities, service, personal and social education and outdoor education.
The school offers more than 250 clubs which range from lego-building in Junior School to Chess club in the High School. Students can participate in a number of activities which include dance, drama, music and leadership opportunities for the school community.
Both the campuses have indoor as well as outdoor facilities for sports activities throughout the year. Students can participate in basketball, football, golf, cross country, gymnastics, cricket, swimming and many other development, recreational and competitive sports.
The music department of the school brings together some of the finest musicians of Singapore to provide a comprehensive Instrument teaching programme available to students of Grade 2 and above.
