St Joseph’s Institution International School

Established in 2007, St Joseph’s Institution International School offers a holistic, values-driven, and international educational experience to a diverse student body comprised of  over 40 nationalities, rooted in the upbringing and cultural leanings of Singapore.

The international high school began operations in 2007, followed by the elementary school in 2008, and together with another five schools they form the core of the Lasallian schooling system in Singapore, which has a rich heritage in the country dating back to 1852.

Lasallian International School in Singapore

St Joseph’s Institution International School is actually the brainchild of former students and alumni of St Joseph’s Institution (SJI) Singapore, which is one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious educational institutions, who sought to provide the same kind of values and life-altering experiences to a new generation of not just Singaporean, but expatriate children as well. The international school differs from other St Joseph’s Institutions in a number of key ways, such as being fully co-educational, offering pre-university classes, as well as being an internationally accredited academic institution.

Today, the St Joseph’s Institution International School community is composed of 1,800 students across two schools on one campus. The High School admits both Singaporean and international students from Grades 7 to 12 (ages 12 – 18); while the Elementary School caters to predominantly expatriate children from pre-school Prep 1 – 2 (accepting students from ages 4 turning 5 – 6), and in Grade 1 – 6 (ages 7 – 12).

The Elementary School imparts the International Primary Curriculum otherwise known as the IPC, while the High School offers the IGCSEs from Grades 7 through 10, before the senior students take the (International Baccalaureate) IB Diploma at Grade 11 and 12.

As a school with a Lasallian Catholic foundation, the community welcomes students, teachers, parents, friends and supporters of all faiths and cultural backgrounds. The core Lasallian values are central to everything that the school does: spirituality, mutual respect, internationalism, leadership, experiences and service. The faculty and administration strives to develop students who are intrinsically motivated to serve others and to give back to the community.
